Tableau - Sort & Filter Data

Introduction:

This course provides students with the tools necessary to effectively sort and filter data in a Tableau visualization or dashboard. Students will learn different approaches to sorting and filtering various types of data fields, including interactive filters to aid in end user interactivity. Students will learn how to filter at the data source level, how to filter within a worksheet, and how to apply filters to multiple worksheets.

Objectives:

Sort data in visualizations using the toolbar, headers, and fields in the view
Create data source, dimension, measure, and date filters
Learn how Tableau’s Order of Operations affects filtering
Create Context Filters
Apply filters to more than one visualization in a workbook
Create interactive filters and customize filter cards to aid end user interaction
